As the narrative around sustainability has become mainstream there is increasing understanding that the sustainability story is just one step on the road to embracing the ideas and need for systems change.
There is no single answer to the growth/degrowth debate, a balance between distinct strategies for different situations might be the key.
The EU and its major financial institutions were based on the idea that prosperity for all will promote peace and stability. The weak link in this argument is whether free and open markets actually lead to prosperity for all.
